Cartonpack actively participates in the PON project “One Health – One Welfare – One World – Innovations in the dairy and meat supply chains for health, welfare, and the environment,” within the Agrifood specialization area.
The objective of the activities currently underway at Cartonpack is to develop low–environmental-impact packaging capable of increasing the shelf life of food prototypes developed within the project framework.
The expected outcome of the activities is the identification of at least one active packaging system capable of extending the shelf life of cheese and meat product prototypes developed by the project partners by at least 20%.
This percentage increase is calculated in comparison with the average shelf life of control samples packaged in non-bioactive materials. With regard to the activities planned and carried out by Cartonpack, the eligible project costs amount to €380,380.00, with granted funding of €188,689.00.
