BRC: BRITISH RETAIL CONSORTIUM
Originally derived from the more widely known and распространed BRC Food Standard and initially aimed at suppliers of packaging and packing materials for the food industry, the BRC Packaging Standard — developed by the British Retail Consortium (BRC) with the support of the Institute of Packaging and associations representing packaging manufacturers — is designed to ensure the hygienic and sanitary safety not only of packaging materials intended to come into contact with food, but also of those used as primary packaging in non-food sectors, such as consumer goods, as well as secondary and tertiary packaging for all applications.
